To My Brothers and Sisters,
Citizens of America
My simphaty to you,
whose voices are not heard
by your leader,
who thinks he also leads us
I understand how you feel,
threatened and terrorized
in your own land,
not before Bush declares war to terrorism,
but after
It must be hurtful
to witness your fellow American
crashed and killed by the Israeli’s tank
and Bush closed his eyes
That brave young woman is not important
to the president of America,
leader of human rights and democracy.
You must be embarrased
having a president who wants to dictate
in another country, far away from your land,
and acts as if he is the truth and nobody but the truth
Iraqi people and the people of the world
has no power to stop the war,
and not even you,
who have voted for Bush for president in the first place.
I symphatize with you,
who may be hated and attacked –wrongly-
wherever you go,
who must pay the price
for the mistakes done by one person.
I thank you
for your solidarity and strength.
Watching millions of you protesting,
I have tears in my eyes,
and this poem is the least I could give to you
my brothers and sisters,
citizens of America.
